Visit Crocodiles of the Tarcoles River and Get to Your Destination!
A trip on the Eco Terra microbus is the beginning of your tour, this comfortable mode of transportation will transport you to the first destination. Before arriving to this first destination, you will stop in San Ramon to have a local cup of coffee.
Afterwards, your driver will take you to Hacienda Nosavar, which is a small ranch with many acres of greenery. Here you will get into a wagon that is hitched to a tractor. From this vehicle, you will be transported further until you will arrive the bank at Tarcoles River. On the way, you can admire the beautiful scenery.
At the banks of Tarcoles River, you will climb aboard a boat. This river has the largest population of the American crocodiles, in Central America. The probability of seeing them on the bank of the river is quite big. The crocodiles can become up to 16 feet (5 meter) tall. Your tour through the mangrove forest will be a little more than an hour. The area is home to red limpets (small shellfish that stick to the rocks near the shore). Birds like, herons, kingfisher and spoonbills are usually to be found in on the sandy bank on the side of the river.
A buffet lunch will be the end of the tour. After you are full and satisfied, the microbus will bring you to the beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park. These beaches are bordered by a green forest, and some are an excellent place to swim. The beaches here all have beautiful blue-green water.
