Hotel Montana De Fuego

Horseback rides, biking tours and hikes (one of which leads to a 200-ft waterfall) are wonderful ways to see the volcano and its surrounding area. A number of water sports can be enjoyed along Lake Arenal, including fishing, kayaking and windsurfing, and just outside of the La Fortuna/Arenal area, visitors will enjoy exploring the Venado Caves or rafting down the explosive Sarapiqui River.
Hotel Montana de Fuego is set on a 111-acre (45-ha) piece of land that hosts both primary and secondary forest. Set just 5 miles (9 km) from La Fortuna, the hotel is close to the town’s amenities but far from its hustle and bustle.

Guests are invited to walk along the hotel’s rainforest trails on foot or horseback or explore its well-maintained tropical garden. Back at the hotel, an afternoon swim or treatment at the En Gadi Spa is a wonderful way to pass the time. If further relaxation is in order, guests can enjoy a soak in the Jacuzzi or spend some time unwinding in the sauna.
The Acuarelas Restaurant serves up a fine mix of Costa Rican cuisine and international favorites, including pasta dishes, steaks, desserts and more. A complimentary breakfast buffet is offered every morning.
Every room at Montana de Fuego has a private terrace with views of the Arenal Volcano. Each room also comes stocked with air conditioning, a mini refrigerator, telephone, cable TV, and a private hot water bathroom. The Standard Rooms are set in cozy wooden cabiñas, while the Deluxe Rooms employ a more modern and spacious design.
