Arenal Lodge

Visitors can get a look at Arenal and the surrounding area on horseback, bike, or foot. During the day, trails around the volcano’s base can be explored, while at night it’s best to sit back and soak in one of the area’s geothermal hot springs.Bird watching and canopy tours are popular, and fishing, windsurfing and kayaking can be enjoyed along Lake Arenal. Of course, a visit to the geothermal hot springs is a must.
The Arenal Lodge is set on a 2,000-acre piece of property that has views of both the volcano and lake. The property is comprised mostly of rainforest, and there are trails running through much of it for guests to enjoy. This makes bird and animal watching easy and accessible while staying at the Arenal Lodge. Aside from outdoor exploration, there is much to do at the hotel. Guests that are looking to relax will be pleased with the swimming pool, steam room and Jacuzzi, while those that want a more active form of entertainment can utilize the game room or gym.
The restaurant serves a wide variety of food, including fresh seafood, pasta, and vegetarian options. Ingredients are purchased from local organic suppliers whenever possible. The adjoining bar has beer, juice, soda, wine and liquor.
Accommodations at the Arenal Lodge are comfortable and varied. There is everything from simple, standard rooms – which include a number of helpful amenities, including cable TV, a private hot water bathroom and safe deposit box – to Master Suites, which have exquisite bathrooms, private balconies, and a kitchenette. Many of the rooms have bathtubs and several overlook the volcano, gardens or lake.
