Arenal Vista Lodge
Outdoor lovers will be at home in the Arenal area. The region’s horizon is dominated by Arenal, an impressive volcano that, until 2010, was the most active volcano in the country (it entered into a resting phase during this year). Visitors will enjoy hiking through the Arenal Volcano National Park or boating along Lake Arenal. Other popular activities include horseback riding, waterfall rappelling, zip lining, and soaking in one of the area’s many geothermal hot springs.
The Arenal Vista Lodge offers 25 comfortable and affordable rooms. All rooms are equipped with a private hot water bathroom, ceiling fan, walk-in closet, and balcony with panoramic views of the Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal. The rooms are simple and clean, with privileged locations that directly face the volcano.
During the day, guests can enjoy a hike along the lodge’s private trails or a soak in the spring-fed swimming pool. Good food can be found at the hotel’s “La Mazorca” restaurant and drinks can be ordered from the “El Zarpe” bar. Guests in need of gifts for friends or family can visit the souvenir shop to browse through an assortment of authentic Costa Rican handicrafts.
The town of La Fortuna is a 30-minute drive away.
