The smooth cinder cone of the Tenorio Volcano rises high above the Guanacaste Mountain Range. Below it, a blanket of rain and cloud forests spread into the distance. These forests contain impressive geological highlights including hot springs, geysers, and the blue-tinted Ro Celeste. Hiking trails wind through much of the national park and lead to the volcanos summit. Accommodations can be found nearby in the small, pleasant town of Bijagua.
