The Rio Celeste and Tenorio Volcano Hike
The Rio Celeste hike is a journey through a mysterious and enchanting area. You will navigate through secondary and primary rainforest within the Tenorio National Park, it is wonderful opportunity to a diversity of plant and animal species.
As the hike continues you will begin to hear the waters of the Rio Celeste and will first notice the blue hue of the water. The hike continues to wind along the banks of the Celeste river, the more up stream you hike the deeper the color of the water. As the hike continues we will reach the point where the clear Buena Vista and Roble rivers merge to form the blue waters of the Celeste river, it is an extraordinary site.
The hike continues on two a wonderful waterfall and along the trails of the Tenorio National Park. Finally all the long hiking will be rewarded with a delicious typical meal and fresh fruit.
This hike is recommended for people in good physical condition; although not physically grueling it does require good health and stamina. Wear comfortable shoes and bring you camera, it is a great opportunity to document some of the wonders of the rainforest.
