Don Tobias Horseback Ride to the Volcano

The Don Tobias horse tour is an adventurous horseback ride through forests and fields with stunning views of the Arenal Volcano. This 3 hour tour will take you through primary and secondary forest and cattle fields, going up the mountain to a beautiful lagoon where the horses can refresh themselves on a short break. Next is a lookout point where you can marvel at the majestic Arenal Volcano and its beautiful surroundings.

This trail covers mostly private grounds and was used by Don Tobias, a well known horse breeder in the Arenal area. The Don Tobias stables take good care of their horses and will make sure that your tour will be a great experience.

Transport is provided with the tour but if you are driving on your own the tour meets at the arenal springs hotel.

Recommended for this tour are: long pants, t-shirt, binoculars, camera, sun lotion and repellent.
