The Tabacon features many mineral pools and hot springs, fed by the Arenal Volcano. The mineral waters, running at a soothing temperature of 39° C (102 F), flow through exotic tropical gardens, forming cascades and pools.... a setting many find to be an unforgettable experience.
Tabacon Resort offers Standard Rooms and Junior Suites; equipped with air conditioning, color TV with satellite programming, coffee maker, hair dryer, and some rooms with a private terrace with front view of the spectacular Arenal Volcano.

I just got back from my trip and I must say other than the rain my trip was great. My biggest disappointment was the Tabacon Spa and the Hotel - if you're not a guest and just using their spa no matter how much you are spending they were rude and grude. I would never recommend their Spa or services to any one and neither should you. I have traveled the world and have stayed in incredible great hotels and or used their services or Spa and have never been treated in such a way. The Spa is dirty and unsanitary I was never offered slippers for the wet area or refreshments when I was spending over $200 in services was treated rudely as well as my family. The facility was noisy with little privacy were I was and my sons treatment was never completed. If this spa wants to be rated in Spa trends they need to pick up the pace. I'm writing every editor that writes in trade journals for the Spa industry and making them aware about how awful this place was. Their mistake is not treating everyone the same - it should not matter if you are not staying at the Tabacon Hotel spending money at the spa is the question.
