Arenal photos above: November 17, '05 @ 7h06 pm, 7h44 pm & 10h01 pm (full moon). The last one is a strombolian eruption taken November 18, '05 @ 7h54 am. The lava is flowing every 15 minutes or so, on 2 different paths: West toward the Arenal National Park & Southwest towards the village of El Castillo (the lights bottom center on the first photo) where you can find the hotels Linda Vista del Norte and the budget Cabinas El Castillo. The blue light on the right side of the first photo is the hotel Arenal Observatory Lodge. See Arenal Volcano map for current hotels with lava view.

Recent Update: Tabacon Hot Springs was closed & evacuated on November 2, '05 @ 3h30 pm for 1 hour after a cloud of ashes reached some to visitors hiking near the lookout (mirador) on the Heliconias trail of the Arenal National Park
