Just a short taxi ride from La Fortuna, this waterfall is an easy hike and a great refreshing swim. See the La Fortuna Map for location. It's administered by a local not for profit association and the proceeds of the $8 entrance fee is reinvested in the area. More info in the coming days on this page.
The nearby village is La Fortuna with views of the Arenal Volcano but not of the lava, where you can find affordable hotels, a clinic, 2 pharmacies, 2 super markets, bakery, 3 banks with ATM's, several restaurants including one open 24/24h, a gas station open 24/24h, the Public Bus Station, Police, etc.
