Lost Iguana Resort
Lost Iguana Resort is the newest upscale Arenal Volcano Hotel. Surrounded by it's own 100 acres of lush rainforest yet it offers majestic views of the active Arenal Volcano.
You can see the location of Hotel Lost Iguana on the left of this photo taken on October 16, 2005 (the green dot), in the lush hills above the dam of Lake Arenal. This Hotel offers a front view of the lava flow while being at a safe distance from one of the 10 most active volcanoes in the world & we are surrounded by lush tropical forest & trails .
A premiere, upscale retreat nestled gently in the jungle, the new Lost Iguana Resort in Costa Rica only offers rooms with large private balconies overlooking the Arenal Volcano with front view of the active face of the volcano as this page was updated on February 12, 2006 (the lava as been flowing very day in this direction since March '05). Naturally by the time you visit us the volcano could change is mind and flow in an other direction but the awesome panoramic views of Lost Iguana Resort & excellent service will always remain.
All rooms are spacious and well-appointed with first-class furnishings, artwork and full amenities; air-conditioning, telephone, cable TV, pillow-top mattresses with 100% Egyptian cotton sheets and more.

Photos below taken from the Lost Iguana Restaurant a few hours apart (our great views are the same from all rooms and Villas). During the day the lava is light grey, and at night it's red and glowing.

1) Master bedroom with a King sized bed. Master bathroom with a lava rock shower. Jacuzzi on the balcony. Attached second bedroom with a full sized bed and bunk bed. Second bathroom that is small but complete with a shower and toilet. The second bedroom in this unit is the only bedroom on the property that does not have a volcano view.
2) Master bedroom with a King sized bed. Master bathroom with a lava rock shower. Living room and kitchen. Second bedroom with a volcano view has two full sized beds and it's own small but complete bathroom.
