The Hotel Royal Corin is located near the quiet, rural town of La Fortuna in the Arenal Volcano area, only six kilometers from Lake Arenal and the Arenal Volcano National Park. La Fortuna serves as a gateway for visiting Volcán Arenal, and is a top destination precisely for this reason. However, the town itself is a wonderful place to kick back and rest for a few days. It is set amongst a beautiful landscape replete with cascading waterfalls, dense forests, and steaming hot springs. La Fortuna is quiet and low-key, but chock-full of businesses that cater to visitors’ needs and conveniences. Tour operators abound and can give direction and advice for nearly every activity. If it’s hiking you’re after, the national park is about as biologically diverse as they come, as almost half of all Costa Rican land-dwelling vertebrates reside within its boundaries. Lake Arenal is also a good option, presenting its visitors with excellent sport fishing and a killer view; the shimmering water of the lake blends into a thick forest overshadowed by the grand Arenal Volcano. Other activities within the area include horseback riding, ATV tours, zip lines, canopy tours, and an array of hot springs.

The Hotel Royal Carin is a luxurious resort that has only recently been opened. Its design blends harmoniously with the natural beauty of the area, and showcases the Arenal Volcano at nearly every opportunity - from the reception room, to the pool, to the rooms and bars and glass-walled elevator, guests will always have a good view of the smoking peak. The interior is arranged with modern furniture and advanced architecture, all the way from the reception desk to the bedroom. The rooms are painted with subtle shades of Costa Rica’s natural colors – reds, whites, blues, and greens. Each room is comfortable and luxurious, and comes with its own bathtub and shower, mini bar, TV, and orthopedic mattress.

If guests have developed any tension while traveling, it’ll be sure to melt away in the hotel’s personal spa. The Loto Spa offers full-body massages, pedicures and manicures, and has a sauna, Jacuzzi, and thermal-water soaking area. After soothing their skin and muscles in the spa, guests can eat like an emperor at the hotel’s Emperadora Restaurant, which serves tasty food all day long. Afterwards, have a chat or a drink in the Lava Bar, an elegantly decorated bar with a panoramic view of the surrounding area. It serves up cold, refreshing libations and frequently hosts live music as well. The hotel also has a spacious swimming pool and children’s pool, with an additional area that runs a swim-up bar. On an elevated level there are two thermally heated whirlpools and a cascading waterfall surrounded by loads of lounge chairs.

The Hotel Royal Carin has its own conference center, which can house up to 200 people and includes a range of audiovisual equipment that guests can use.
