Cabinas El Castillo is overlooking the small village of El Castillo, South-west of the Arenal Volcano with front view of the active face of the volcano as this page was updated on February 12, 2006 (the lava as been flowing very day in this direction since March '05). Naturally by the time you visit us the volcano could change is mind and flow in an other direction but the awesome panoramic views of our hotel and excellent service will always remain.
Cabinas El Castillo: family owned and run cabins (10) with restaurant on a hill overlooking the tiny village of El Castillo. Offers beautiful views of Lake Arenal and the lava flow of the Arenal Volcano while you sip your morning coffee or eat a meal prepared by a family member. Enjoying the breeze on the covered terrace can provide hours of watching hummingbirds dart from flower to flower, enjoy listening to a gentle rainfall, or watch the clouds come and go over the volcano. See Arenal Volcano map for location. By taxi, the village of La Fortuna is 45 minutes ($20). The taxi/boat/taxi or Horseback Riding Adventure to or from Monteverde offered by this website will pick you up or drop-off directly from the hotel. The mini-bus shuttles nearest meeting point is at the Police Booth and we will pickup or drop-off for $5 per car load.
